NBA trade deadline:A blessing in disguise?
The 2014 NBA trade deadline was bound to be a success. Many great players were already packing their bags. The press was restlessly commenting about possible trades for this talented group, which was headlined by raptors guard Kyle Lowry.Just when everything seemed to be going the fans way, desperate teams such as the New York Knicks sat back and did absolutely nothing!. Of course the fans and media were disappointed, for the group of assets traded was headlined by the trade of Danny Granger to the sixers for Evan Turner. Evan Turner, although he is boasting with potential, is not a franchise player. His stats had received a large upgrade thanks to the 76ers incredible pace. Those teams that decided not to sell or buy at the trade deadline did one thing right, they brang back order to the NBA. Teams that rightioustly deserved to be good-such as the nets, the wizards, the cavaliers and the bobcats -have all put together winning streaks. Teams that did not even deserve to be in the playoff race , especially the portland trailblazers, have not been playing great ball. Teams that needed to play better than they do currently-headlined by title contender Miami Heat- have put together winning streaks.Does that make up for the lack of assets traded on the day of the trade deadline?
